1)Swedish massage- It
was developed by a Swedish physiologist, Henri Peter Ling at the
University of Stockholm in 1812. Swedish massage employs five different
movements;long, gliding strokes , kneading of individual muscles
,friction , hacking or tapping , vibration. |

2)Sports massage-
The sports therapist applies a range of techniques including
therapeutic soft tissue massage, gentle mobilization, and stretching
techniques to restore function to muscles and joints before, during and

intimate understanding of the structure and biomechanics of the

3)Stone massage- Massage
in which smooth hot or cold stones, usually basalt or marble, are used
to massage the body. When heated stones are used muscles relax allowing
the massage therapist to work deeper into the muscle without the
discomfort of regular deep tissue massage. Sufferers of sinus
congestion usually find relief when cold stones are placed on the
sinuses. Energy work is sometimes incorporated into Stone Massage.
Stones may be placed on key energy points, such as Chakras or

It was originally known as Reflex zone theraphy,reflexology is a
holistic healing method which involves pressure and massage of reflex
points found on the feet and hands. The dictionary defines the word
reflex as "an involuntary muscular contraction due to an external
stimulus."However the word reflex is used in the sense of reflextion or
mirror image of TRIGGER points on organism. It was known in India 5,000
years ago. Reflexology treatment centres on masage and pressure to the

6)Chair massage- Chair
massage, also known as corporate massage, can be a convenient method of
massage therapy. A chair massage session typically lasts 12-24 minutes,
and is performed while fully clothed. Chair massage promotes better
circulation, muscle stimulation and stress relief. This form of massage
reduces tension in the back, neck, shoulders, head, arms, hands, legs
or feet, providing a deep relaxation effect. |

7)Deep tissue massage -
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue
structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue.
Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as
Swedish, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a
more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic
muscle tension or knots |

needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes
of the childbirth experience. Pregnancy affects your body in a
multitude of ways. But In most cases it is safe (and beneficial!) to
receive massage (from certified masseur) up to your due date and

of your prenatal care we suggest once a month in the first trimester,
twice a month in the second and third. Pregnancy massage can be done in
different ways. Pregnant women may lie on their sides to be massaged,
and they can actually lie on their bellies, since a specifically
designed pillow has made it possible for expectant moms, no matter how
far along they are, to lie flat on their stomachs. It accomplishes this
with a deep center cutout in the pillow, so that bellies are
accommodated and moms-to-be are relaxed and comfortable. Massage
